 सुरेख, अति कोमल, मनमोहक स्वर...... कोई भी आसानी से आकर्षित होता ऐसी आवाज़ थी वह।

दंग रह गए विजय के दिलको कोसने वाले अनगिनत विचारों को पीछे छोड़कर उसका मन उस आवाज़ पर केंद्रित हो गया।

पार्टीशन की उस ओर से वह आवाज़ आ रही थी।

वाह क्या बात थी उस आवाज में। आवाज़ नही मानो कोई कोयल की बोली हो। ना कोई वाद्य का साथ ना कोई उलझन।। सीधी सरल आवाज़....

हल्की सी आवाज़ में वह गीत शुरू हुआ। देखते ही देखते डिब्बे में से आनेवाले सभी आवाज़ मानो थम से गए हो। हर कोई उस आवाज़ को सुनने में तल्लीन हो गया। उस वक्त विजय तो भूल ही गया था कि वो रेल में है हजारों लोगों के बीच।

देखते देखते गाना खत्म हो गया। साथ ही शोर मचाने वाला आवाज़ भी। कुछ सुनाई दे रहा था।

अच्छा! तो इस स्वर सुंदरी लता मंगेशकर का नाम विनू है! लेकिन विनू मतलब! वनिता, वंदना !! उस स्वर सुन्दरी से मिलने की विजय की इच्छा और भी तीव्र हो गई।

न चाहते हुए भी विजय दूसरों की याने विनू के दोस्तों की बातो पर गौर फरमाने लगा। बातों बातों में उसे पता चला कि वो भी बैंगलोर ही जा रही हैं। विजय मन ही मन खुश हुआ। अपने ही विचारों में खोया हुआ था कि अचानक आवाज़ आई..

"एक्सक्यूज मी! आप उठेंगे क्या।" वही आवाज़। विजय ने उपर देखा।

गोरा रंग, काली बड़ी बड़ी आंखें, नुकीली नाक, लंबे बाल। अपरिचित व्यक्ति से बात करने की वजह से चेहरे पर मिश्र भाव। एक हाथ में बेडशीट और दूसरे में तिकट।।

विजय जहा बैठा था असल में वो सीट विनु की ही थी। इसलिए विजय को वहां से उठना पड़ा। वक्त गुजरता गया और बेंगलुरु कब पहुंचे उसकी खबर ही नहीं हुई।

 विजय भोपाल का रहनेवाला था। सीधा लड़का था। इंटरव्यू के सिलसिले में बेंगलुरु आया था। इंटरव्यू दिया और सेलेक्ट भी हो गया। उसके पापा मास्टरजी थे। सबको बहुत खुशी हुई। उसकी एक छोटी बहन भी थी उसकी शादी की परवाह भी हमेशा लगी रहती थी।

दो साल बीत गए थे। विजय अपनी नोकरी में सेट हो गया था।उसके माता पिता को उसकी शादी की चिंता होने लगी थी। लेकिन विजय के मन मंदिर में तो वह स्वरागिनी ही वास करती थी। उसके पापा ने विजय से कहा,

"बेटा, हमारे स्कूल में एक लड़की है। बच्चो को पढ़ाती है। पढ़ी लिखी, सीधी साधी।। तुम्हे कोई हर्ज ना हो तो देख लो।"
बेचारा विजय अपने पापा के सामने कुछ नहीं बोल सका। बोलता भी क्या! उसे तो कहां पता था कि वो स्वरागिनी कहा रहती है ! क्या करती है ! यहां तक कि उसका नाम तक उसे ठीक से पता नहीं था। अजीब उलझन में फस गया था वह ...

 एक दिन विजय सुबह सुबह अपने ऑफिस के लिए निकल रहा था। बस से जाना पड़ता था। बहुत भीड़ थी बस में। लेकिन इन महाशय को जगह तो मिल गई थी फिर किस बात की परेशानी!

 अगले स्टॉप पर वही स्वरागिनी बस में चढ़ी। मानो विजय का नसीब ही खुल गया हो। लेकिन उसने चेहरे पर जाहिर नहीं होने दिया। कुछ ही पल में कुछ आवाज़ सुनाई दी। बस कंडक्टर बोल रहा था ...
 "मैडम, बीस रुपए दे दीजिए नहीं तो मुझे बस को रूकाना पड़ेगा"

 विनू उससे बार बार मिन्नते कर रही थी। उसके पास सौ रुपए का नोट था। खुले पैसे नहीं थे। लेकिन बस कंडक्टर सुनने का नाम नहीं ले रहा था। विजय ने मौका देखकर पैसे दे दिए।

 विनू ने विजय को थैंक्स कहा और अगले स्टॉप पर पैसे लौटाने का वादा किया। बस रुकी। उस स्वरागिनी ने बहुत कोशिश की लेकिन कुछ न हुआ। वो मायूस हो गई। विजय ने कहा...
 "रहने दीजिए, कोई बात नहीं"
 लेकिन वीनू एक स्वाभिमानी लड़की थी। उसे ऐसे किसी  की मदद लेना पसंद नहीं था। उसने कहा...

 "सुनिए महाशय, आप मुझे 5 बजे यही मिलना मै आपके पैसे लौटा दूंगी।" इतना कहकर वह चली गई।
 विजय को उसकी यह अदा पसंद आई। उसका भी यही मानना था कि लड़कियों को आत्मनिर्भर होना चाहिए।

विजय को ऑफिस में काम होने की वजह से उसे पहुंचने में देर हुई। 6 बज चुके थे। विनू वहीं इंतज़ार कर रही थी। देखते ही उसने वह पैसे लौटा दिए और थैंक्स कहा।

 विजय ने भी वेलकम कहकर औपचारिकता निभाई। बात यही ख्तम हो गई थी के विजय ने स्वरागिनी को उसका नाम पूछा। उसने अपना नाम विनिता बताया। विजय को खुशी हुई। वो ऐसे ही रोज मिलने लगे। नजदीकियां बढ़ती गई।

विनिता एक गरीब लड़की थी। उसकी मां बचपन में ही गुजर गई थी। इसीलिए वह अपने मामा के घर रहती थी। दिन बीतते गए। दोनों को मोहब्बत हुई एक दूसरे से। परेशानी कि बात तो यह थी कि विजय के पापा लड़की देख चुके थे। विजय ठहरा आज्ञाकारी पुत्र। अपने पिता को वह कैसे बताए।

 विजय ऑफिस से छुट्टियां लेकर भोपाल आया था कुछ दिन के लिए। तभी वो अपने पापा से अपने दिल की बात करनेवाला था। लेकिन उसे उसका मौका नहीं मिला हमेशा कुछ न कुछ हो जाता।

 एक दिन सब ऐसे ही बाते करते बैठे थे कि विजय के पापा ने लड़की की फोटो दिखाई। फिर क्या था जिस बात को वह ना कहनेवाला उसी बात पर राजी हो गया। क्योंकि वह लड़की कोई और नहीं बल्कि विनिता ही थी। विजय के माता पिता भी खुश हो गए।

शादी तय हो गई। विजय की मा का कहना था कि आनेवाली बहू साथ में बहुत सा सामान और गहने लेकर आए। इसीलिए वो शादी में तरह तरह की अड़चने लाने लगी। वही विजय के पिताजी उदार स्वभाव के थे।

 उन्होंने विजय कि मा को बहुत समझाया लेकिन एक न बनी। आखिर विजय को फैसला लेना पड़ा। उसने अपनी मा को विनिता के स्वभाव के बारे में बताया। उसकी समझदारी को उन्होंने भी महसूस किया। इस तरह विजय की छोटी सी जिंदगी में बहार आई।

 good!  So the name of this voice beautiful Lata Mangeshkar is Vinu!  But Vinu means!  Vanita, Vandana !!  Vijay's desire to meet that voice became even more intense.

 Despite not wanting, Vijay started to notice the talk of others i.e. Vinu's friends.  In conversation, she came to know that she is also going to Bangalore.  Vijay was happy only.  It was lost in my own thoughts that a sudden sound came.

 "Excuse me! Will you wake up?"  Same voice.  Vijay looked up.

 Fair complexion, black big eyes, pointed nose, long hair.  Misguided face on talking to unfamiliar person.  Bedsheet in one hand and Tikat in the other.

 The seat where Vijay was sitting was actually Vinu's.  Hence Vijay had to rise from there.  Time passed and there was no news of when he reached Bangalore.

 Vijay was a resident of Bhopal.  Was a straight boy.  He came to Bangalore in connection with the interview.  Interviewed and also selected.  His father was Masterji.  Everyone was very happy.  He also had a younger sister who always cared about his marriage.

 Two years had passed.  Vijay was set in his job and his parents were worried about his marriage.  But she used to live in Swaragini in Vijay's mind temple.  His father said to Vijay,

 Vinu calls Vijay thanks and promises to return the money at the next stop.  The bus stopped.  That Swaragini tried hard but nothing happened.  She got frustrated.  Vijay said…

 But Veenu was a proud girl.  He did not like to seek help of any such.  he said...

 "Listen sir, you will return your money to meet me at 5 o'clock."  Having said this she left.

 Vijay liked his style.  She also believed that girls should be self-sufficient.

 Vijay was late due to his work in office.  It was 6 o'clock  Vinu was waiting there.  On seeing it, he returned the money and said thanks.

 Vijay also performed formality by calling him Welcome.  The point was that Vijay asked Swaragini his name.  She called her name Vinita.  Vijay was happy.  They started meeting like this every day.  The proximity increased.

 Vinita was a poor girl.  His mother passed away as a child.  That is why she lived at her maternal uncle's house.  Days passed.  Both fell in love with each other.  The problem was that Vijay's father had seen the girl.  Victory remains obedient son.  How should he tell his father.

 Vijay came to Bhopal for a few days by taking holidays from the office.  That was when he was going to talk to his father about his heart.  But he did not get his chance, something always happened.
